Is Everyone Greedy?

As homo sapiens, we are blessed with numerous gifts. One of them is the human brain. We have the most advanced and developed brain that no other organism has. We can think, feel, process information, react to external stimuli in a mature manner. This has come with its own set of pros and cons. Where, as humans, we are able to rationalize the scenario around us, also we are trying to destroy our own habitat by our greed. Man's behavior is always subject to debate. When God made us, he incorporated everything in a balanced manner. But we as humans have disturbed this balance as well.

Greed is also as natural as feeling hungry is. It is a natural tendency of humans to want every beautiful thing he sees. It is very normal to want to have a gorgeous dress that your friend is wearing, or you wish to have earned more money than your contemporary. According to boarding school in India, this competitiveness has caused greediness to get deeply rooted in the human system. Even though greed is natural, over-greed is man-made. Man being the result of billions of years of evolution has recklessly spoilt everything he had. Man is responsible for his own fate.

Greed has a scientific basis in the human body. When your desires are extremely overpowering, your mind is a signal that you are greedy. Lack of greed puts you at the end of life, especially in today's competitive world. Wanting to earn more wealth and resources will put you to strive and work better. It refines you into a hard-working person. If there were not any greed, there would be no human being improving and reworking on himself. Life would be meaningless then.

The worldly attachments that today's man possesses have ruined the situation. Man is too much into materialistic pleasure that he cannot give up. To keep the lifestyle intact, you crave to earn more wealth. Also, man's needs have changed to be more costly and complex. An earlier man was happy with the food, clothes, and a house. Now people wish to have fancy food, designer wear, lavishly decorated homes, etc. As the advancement of civilizations happened an advancement in human greed also occurred. Today's man is greedy to such a large extent that they are ready to harm others for personal benefits. Man has extremely deteriorated in terms of virtues and ethics.

Among other uncountable organisms, humans are the most greedy breed. Man has completely killed the homes of many tongueless creatures. The increasing rate of glacier sheets melting is caused due to deforestation. In order to build huge impressive buildings, to get lucrative stones, etc. we have completely over-exploited the resources. Human greed is the root cause of sorrow.

Greed is not completely bad. When you wish to learn more, to progress more, to do a lesson more. Greed in spiritual terms is also not bad. Wanting to pray more, wanting to connect to God a bit more is harmless. An inner voice that drives people to help others is not wrong. Being greedy in terms of selflessness is not wrong. These are certain areas of life where you can be greedy. The greed that does not harm anyone or does not cause any destruction is good. It is always advisable to be greedy for knowledge. To be greedy to learn from every possible source. This never goes wrong.

There are many ways of managing your greed. In human social life, you cannot only tend to live for your own self. Always keep in mind it is more fruitful to five rather than take as it is a fact that you leave back all your earnings after your demise. Learn to be generous, kind, and empathetic towards every being in the world.
