City life vs village life

Village life generally reflects the rural lifestyle, and the city reflects the urban lifestyle. Life in both regions has its benefits and issues. India is a country where we have both villages as well as big cities. Life in villages is different from life in cities. As everything has some plus points and some negative points so let us see some of them.

In villages, the environment is more pleasant and natural as compared to cities. In cities, the rate of pollution is increasing day by day, even the air quality is diminishing with each coming day.

Educators of schools in Delhi express the city as a bigger area of civilization, where people have very few connections with one another. People living in cities have their circles quite large with the existence of social media, but they lack the ability to build real physical connections. With agriculture being the primary occupation, village life is considered to be simpler.

There are several aspects on which we can compare city life or village life. Let's see some of them.

Education

Whether in city or village, one of the main concerns for residents is regarding education and availability of proper schools and colleges in their area.

Cities like Delhi have top international schools in Delhi that provide better education opportunities than villages with established educational institutes for all fields and professions. Meanwhile, the villages are dependent on government schools only. Although today, there are many villages with degree colleges, they still lack in terms of quality of education and further opportunities for students. This situation leads the youth of villages to migrate to cities for their education.

Medical facilities

This is one of the most important fields where the villages of India are behind the cities. Cities have several medical facilities, including doctors, hospitals, diagnostic centers, pharmacies, etc. Some metro cities with large populations also have more than 3 government hospitals. But villages don't have such facilities with regards to the medical sector.

Employment

One of the biggest concerns in today's life is employment. Whether people living in a village or city both have the same concern regarding employment.

An Indian village's primary occupation is agriculture; farming is their ultimate livelihood. They produce various crops, fruits, vegetables, etc., and earn their living by selling their harvest in the local market, which is the single source of income for the villages.

Cities, on the other hand, offer immense employment opportunities both for daily workers as well as professionals. With lots of unexpected natural calamities and economic disasters, the high dependency of villages on agriculture is risky, so the youth of villages are moving out of farming and searching for more stable jobs in cities.

Conclusion

Life in both cities and villages has its advantages and disadvantages depending on various aspects. While cities provide a better standard of living, the villages of India are an ample example of a peaceful lifestyle and better social relations.
