Online learning has more recently become a very important part of our lives. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of us cannot take any classes offline, be it for academic purposes or for learning any other skills or subject. However, learning cannot stop, and hence the use of online platforms for learning purposes has tremendously increased. Many applications have been introduced recently; others were being used for quite some time. Some courses are free. The certificates are provided by the institute offering the course. Another good thing about Coursera is that all the classes are divided into categories ranging from beginner to advanced. It cannot be downloaded from the app and has to be downloaded from the Udemy site. 


3. Khan Academy: Khan Academy was developed by Sal Khan. He was also featured in Time magazine in the 100 most influential people in the world. Khan Academy courses usually focus on academic subjects, not only for school level but also for college subjects, and the best part is that they are free.

5. Quora: Quora is an app where one can find answers to almost all their questions. You have to search for your topic of interest in the app, and the answers will come. These answers are written by people who have experience in the field. The application also allows you to share your knowledge by writing answers to questions. 


6. Meritnation: Meritnation is an app that helps students from classes 6-12 and those preparing for competitive examinations such as JEE or NEET. It has video lectures, conducts doubt clearing sessions, provides notes and textbook solutions. It also has mock

tests and previous year questions and answers for better preparation. Apart from this, it also has study material for national Olympiad preparations. 


7. TED: You can find videos on various topics ranging from personal well-being to solutions to different crisis situations on this platform. These are explained in videos that are usually less than 20 minutes long. The app brings all these videos together. However, you can also access these on YouTube. The content is free for all, and the speakers come from all nations to give their views and educate the audience. 


Apart from these two, various other applications can be used for learning purposes because learning cannot stop.
